Antique Rose Cut Diamond Navette Ring
This is a phenomenal Art Deco era style Navette ring in finger size 7.5. The band is made from heavy 18K yellow gold and has a platinum face to the ring top. Set atop of the Platinum base is three natural rose cut diamonds and two red gemstones. The center rose cut diamond is oval in shape and approximately 0.50ct with a carbon spot inclusion. Personally, I love the small dark dot in the diamond because it reminds me of the beauty mark that characterized Marilyn Monroe. The weight estimates are based on industry standard calculations using stone measurements. The smaller rose cut diamonds are 0.20ct & 0.19ct each for a total of 0.89 carats. Between the natural rose cut diamonds are two red gems. The darker saturated red gem is tested and confirmed as a natural red Ruby with abrasions on facet lines characteristic of its age. The lighter pinkish red gemstone tests as Corundum but is believed to be a laboratory grown Ruby used as a replacement gem. The ring band pinches at the top to meet the center motif. The basket is created out of circle details by connecting the navette ring top delicately to the base. This ring weighs 4.7 grams, stones included. Don't miss your chance to own this gorgeous early 19th century jewel! |
